FINALLY MOVING FROM ARSENAL

The Danish international Nicklas Bendtner looks finally set to see his £ 7.5 million move away from Arsenal after it was revealed that Turkish club Galatasaray are extremely close to signing him. Nicklas Bendtner has maintained in the last few years that he would like to leave Arsenal. He spent the last season on loan at Sunderland, who also did not pursue with their interest in securing his signature. He has been linked with a move away from Arsenal, with many clubs across Europe showing interest in the player who almost finished as the top scorer at the Euro 2012.

Following the good end to the competition, his agent said a few days ago that he expects Nicklas Bendtner to seal the deal with another club in the next few days. It has emerged that Turkish giant Galatasaray are the club are currently in the race to secure his signature. It is thought that they have agreed a £ 7.5 million fee with Arsenal and expect to conclude the personal negotiations with the player in the next few days. This would mean that Arsenal are likely to lose three major strikers in this transfer window given that Robin van Persie and Theo Walcott have already been linked with a move away from the club.

'Van Persie is one of the best strikers in the world, if not the best, and my desire is to keep him at the club. I will do what is in the best interests of Arsenal Football Club,' said the Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger in a press conference while taking part in the pre-season tour of Asia. Arsenal suffered disappointment at the hands of Manchester city in a pre-season friendly after they were beaten 2-0, although Arsene Wenger would argue that the lack of Lukas Podolski could have been responsible.
